Borris Festival of Writing and Ideas and The Gallery Press present authors Colm Tóibín and Joseph O’Connor in conversation about their work punctuated with song performed by Séamus & Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta.⁠

Colm Tóibín, in the company of his friend and fellow writer Joseph O’Connor — punctuated with song performed by Séamus & Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta — will provide riveting wit; political, artistic and philosophical wisdom; and the warm conversation for which this giant of Irish culture has become so renowned.

This event coincides with the publication of Ship in Full Sail: The Laureate Lectures and Other Writings, a new collection of prose from Colm Tóibín (comprising both the lectures his tenure as Laureate of Irish Fiction along with brilliantly lucid short essays on a wide range of subjects — from literary heroes and practice to music, visual art and autobiography).

After the event, both authors will sign their books.
