Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin was born in Cork City in 1942. She was a founder member of Cyphers, the literary journal (1975). Her first collection, Acts and Monuments, won the Patrick Kavanagh Award. The Sun-fish (2009) received the Griffin International Poetry Prize and The Mother House (2019) the Irish Times Poetry Now Award. Her Collected Poems (2020) won the Pigott Poetry Prize. The Map of the World (2023) was shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize and won the Farmgate Café National Poetry Award. A New Selected Poems will be published in September 2025.
Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin is a Fellow and Professor of English (Emeritus) at Trinity College Dublin. She served as Ireland Professor of Poetry from 2016-2019 and, in 2022, was elected a Saoi, the highest honour of Aosdána.
Kelly Michels relocated to Ireland from the United States in 2019 and completed her PhD at UCD. Her poems and essays have appeared in Banshee, Best New Poets, New Ohio Review, Poetry Ireland Review and Tampa Review. She has published two pamphlets, Mother and Childwith Flowers (2012) and Disquiet (2015), and has received the Rachel Wetzsteon Poetry Prize from 92nd Street ‘Y’, the Spoon River Poetry Review Editor’s Prize and an Academy of American Poets Prize. Her first collection, American Anthem, published in 2024 was shortlisted for the Forward Arts Foundation Felix Dennis Prize for Best First Collection 2024. She lives in Dublin.
Peter Sirr was born in 1960 and lives in Dublin where he works as a freelance writer and translator. Awards include the O’Shaughnessy Award for Poetry, 1998 and the Michael Hartnett Award, 2011. The Gallery Press has published his twelve poetry collections and his Selected Poems as well as Intimate City, a collection of Dublin essays, which appeared to critical acclaim in 2021. The Gravity Wave (2019) is a Poetry Book Society Recommendation and Winner of the 2020 Farmgate Café National Poetry Award. He has recently been appointed Arts Council’s Irish Language Literature Adviser. He contributes reviews and essays to various publications, many of which can be read on his website.
A member of Aosdána he is married to the poet Enda Wyley.
