Gallery Goes . . . 65th Yeats International Summer SchoolThe 65th Yeats International Summer School runs from 11-19th July 2024 and focuses this year on ‘Yeats and the Contemporary’.

As part of the Summer School Programme Gallery Goes . . . 65th Yeats International Summer School takes place on Thursday 17 July. Reading on the night will be Peter Fallon, Annemarie Ní Churreáin and Molly Twomey.

Annemarie Ní Churreáin comes from the Donegal Gaeltacht. Bloodroot, published by Doire Press in 2017, was shortlisted for the Shine Strong Award and the Julie Suk Award. She is a recipient of a Next Generation Artist Award and co-recipient of the Markievicz Award. She was a 2022 Decades of Centenaries Artist in Residence at Donegal County Archives Service. Ní Churreáin is also a librettist and theatre writer. The Poison Glen is her first collection with The Gallery Press.

Peter Fallon is a poet, editor and publisher. He was born in Germany and grew up near Kells, Co. Meath and now lives in Loughcrew where he farmed for many years. In 1970 he founded The Gallery Press which has published more than 500 books of poems and plays by Ireland’s foremost writers. His own collections of poems include News of the World (1998), The Company of Horses (2007) and Strong, My Love (2014).


Molly Twomey
 grew up in Lismore, County Waterford, and graduated in 2019 with an MA in Creative Writing from University College Cork. Her first collection, 
Raised Among Vultures, was published in 2022 by The Gallery Press. It won the Southword Debut Collection Poetry Award and was shortlisted for the Seamus Heaney Poetry Prize for a First Collection and the Farmgate National Poetry Award.
